Jurassic World: A Fallen Kingdom Review

JURASSIC WORLD: A FALLEN KINGDOM REVIEW

SCORE - 6/10

After a disappointing Jurassic World, the Jurassic franchise found back its mojo by the well-written and directed – A Fallen Kingdom.

The film does a good job by setting up the plot points early so that the finale of the film is given justice by not making it bloated with uninteresting plot reveals and also sets up the plot for its sequel by ending the film in a reasonable way which many other billion-dollar franchises like the Star Wars or the DCEU failed to do so.

Each and every character, irrespective of the screen time, is given proper character moments and a satisfying character arc. The other great thing the film did was to bring back the Spielberg’s old ‘Fraction-action’ method of suspense that made the original Jurassic Park a classic to remember.
The main foe of the film, the Indo-rapture, was shown as an actual threat rather than a joke the Indominous Rex was in Jurassic World.
Apart from these, the film also developed many other things that were present since the beginning of the franchise or will continue to be. For example, the relation between Owen and his pet Velociraptor Blue is now based on the choice and takes a new turn. The character of Dr. Henry Wu is given a bit of deeper complexity. These changes make the characters more interesting and worthy enough to care about them.
Overall, the film was neatly done and is a thrilling ride worth going.
